Great Cruise by Keith H. from Lakeland, FL
Sailing date: Apr 2013

Pros:
The Blue Iguana Cantina and Guy's Burger Joint

Cons:
Not enough shade in Serenity, confusion on the first Tender boat procedures

Awesome staff, food, service, and value. Josh, the cruise director was awesome. JoMar, our room steward was very friendly and did a good job on our room. The destinations were wonderful.

Excellence tinged with disppointment by Peter M from British Virgin Islands
Sailing date: Mar 2013

Pros:
The ports of call and shore excursions, particularly in Mexico and Honduras

Cons:
The entertainment

Refurbished in 2012 - as good as new. Wifi better than on previous cruises, though still expensive and speeds variable. Paid $59 for entire cruise, but alternative was $34 per day (fast).

Evening shows disappointing - dramatic effects & dancing, but routines unoriginal & songs mediocre; no cinema - large screen over outside pool, noisy during day and blustery at night. Cabin TV good for cruise info, some pay-for-view movies but otherwise very limited

Amazing cruise! by Amanda W. from Boston, MA
Sailing date: Dec 2012

Pros:
ports visited, casino, shows, activities

Cons:
the food

We had such a great cruise week 1 that we called and extended our stay for a second week. We got to see 8 ports of the cruise which was amazing. AA cruises informed me there were no opening for the second week but offered to call and see if anyone cancelled. They were wonderful and were able to book us for a balcony room due to a last minute cancellation. We were so grateful to Eric!!

Dining/Food
I have travelled on Carnival before and found that in the past the food was better than this time. Guys burger station and the deli were good, but other than that the buffets were lacking. The sit down dinner was better the second week. Week 1 we were in the golden dining room at the late seating and since this was the same dining room with the anytime dining many times our food was slightly cold and a little old. It was fresher week two which was better.

week 1 we had an interior room which was located on deck 1. It was clean and nice. We upgraded to a balcony week 2 which was very nice and more spacious and had the great balcony.

Great Cruise by Big Serg from Goodyear, Arizona
Sailing date: Oct 2012

Pros:
The Ports of Call

Cons:
Amount of People

The overall appearance was good. Very clean and maintained. Friendly staff at port and on-board. The main reason we chose this cruise (or any cruise) is for its itinerary. We were quite surprised on the amount of older people on this cruise. We did not see many families on board and we were probably one of the youngest. We have traveled on Holland America (Alaska) before and after this particular cruise, I would have to say that there were more seniors than Holland (which blows my mind). Carnival is known for its "fun-ship" mentality, so we were caught off-guard of the clientele. Also, the youngest age on all of our excursions from Carnival was 65. Irregardless, the ports of call is why we chose this particular cruise line. You will love New England and Canada! We liked it so much that we are planning on returning back in the next couple of years. If possible, visit in October so you can see the beautiful seasonal changes. It is worth it!!

A marginal cruise by Julienne from Curacao
Sailing date: Nov 2012

Pros:
The latin band

Cons:
Food

It was my first cruise and I did not know that you had to pay for everything you like. I took a yoga class it cost me $12. We took a tour in Roatan called the "discover Roatan" the tour was definitely over priced, the boat ride was a joke (they should eliminate that), the bus ride was a little bit better because you got some sightseeing.

Good Cruise of History by Geri M. from Oklahoma
Sailing date: Sep 2012

Pros:

Cons:
Organization?

Ship was OK, but a bit difficult to get familiar with and learn your way around. Especially more difficult when they partitioned off various levels on the two "formal dining" nights.

LOVED our room! If you enjoy a personal balcony, then 7445 is awesome. Corner balcony that you can see either Starboard or Aft. Could comfortably put 8 chairs on balcony. Since there were only the two of us, we had a chaise, reclining deck chair, and regular chair with two tables, and still a lot of room.

First-time Cruising by Jonathan P from Bahamas
Sailing date: Apr 2012

Pros:
Food, cleanliness, friendliness of staff

Cons:
Queing, plastic plates/glasses, lack of enforcement of dress codes, constant push to up-sell Carnival goods and services

First time cruising so did not really know what to expect. Given the price paid and recognising that there were around 3000 guests then what was provided was done well, This ship was well run, clean, with friendly and helpfull staff but they do need to enforce their own rules - dress code in particular. I found it off-putting that I had to stand in line for breakfast with some large individual wearing only a bathing suit despite dress codes rules. The food was good considering the price paid.
