THE CARNIVAL INSPIRATION WAS FABULOUS by
Carl Cabrall from NYC Sailing date: Aug 2010Pros: Everything Cons: Needed a longer cruise. My family and i had a wonderful time cruising on the Carnival Inspiration. Nancy and Herald in the Carnival dining room were both excellent. Ship QualityFrom the time we boarded the cleaning never stopped. The ship looked and felt clean. I had to be up many nights sometimes for most of the night and I saw them even cleaning the elevators and the handrails to the staircases. Our rooms were cleaned everyday. Awesome service. Dining/FoodThe food was out of this world. Again Nancy and Herald in the Carnival dining room were both excellent along with the Matridi. Stateroom QualityThe room was bigger than I expected and the view of the ocean outside was wonderful - especially at sunset and in the stillness of the night when the moon was full. Ship Staff QualityHonestly, they were all fabulous, kind, courteous, considerate and wonderful. They made it a priority to serve me and my family. Entertainment & ActivitiesLots and lots of entertainment and activities. Children's ProgramsLots of children's programs and activities.

Cozumel, MexicoCozumel was great. We want to go back there. Antonio our Taxi Driver stayed with us the whole day and was wonderful to us. He went out of his was to make us comfortable. By all means folks, go to Cozumel.
Don't Miss: The beach, the restaurants, the food. George Town, Grand CaymanThe beach was wonderful. I would have liked to see more of the island. We did not get to see much.
Don't Miss: The beach. You have got to go to the beach and sample the rum. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Sold to cruising by
Bong D. from Chicago, IL Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: very relaxing way to vacation Cons: quality of food isn't that good Ship is just the right size, not too big or small. Disappointed with the pool since it is too small. You just stand in the water with the 100 other people in there. Ship is very clean. Ship QualityI just wish thet they would turn on the (string of) lights that extends from the top of the sports deck to the bow below. At night,it is very very dark on that side of the ship. For safety reasons, esp. there's a lot of teenagers roaming around, it should be turned on all night. Dining/Food

  Less than "stellar" by
A Traveler from IN Sailing date: May 2010Pros: Food, entertainment, and crew Cons: Most seats have limited viewing in the Paris lounge for shows Older ship in need of repairs. Couple of elevators were inoperable and with 4000 passengers, caused some delay getting to other floors. Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityStateroom is fairly small with only queen size beds and no clock of any kind. No thermostats in the staterooms, only dampers you open or close manually. Ship Staff Quality

  first time cruiser by
John H from Maumee, OH Sailing date: Apr 2010Pros: The formal dinners were very good, with variety for everyone at our table, and service was excellent Cons: both land excursions, we were late in docking, and we lost valuable time with our scheduled diving activities, that were paid in advance. I was very much impressed with the dining services and the pressentation of the various buffets. I disliked the intrusion of pictures and the approx $10 - $15 prices were a little steep. I would suggest that if you are expected to have a docking, you should understate the time on land, thus if you arrive early, passengers would be appreciative, but if you are late, as in the case of our cruise ship, pasengers are very disappointed. My wife and daughter enjoyed this vacation, but I will never cruise again. Dining/FoodThe food was delicious, and plentiful, with excellent service Stateroom QualityStateroom was well maintained, turning down bedding while we were away at dinner, and bathrooms properly straightened 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Our First Cruise by
Wayne W from Dallas, TX Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: Relaxing and the Spa Cons: The food (outside of the main dining room) This was our first cruise and we enjoyed it very much. We did a lot of relaxing (find the adult-only section in the back of the ship) and had 2 massages in the spa. My wife also had a facial there. Our only complaint there was that they tried to sell us some unwanted oils and stuff. We also enjoyed the casino and many of the bars (it was a vacation, after all!) We wanted to rest, relax, snorkle a little, gamble a little more and just play. We accomplished that and more! Ship QualityEasy to get around. One suggestion: be careful about the elevators. Not all banks service all floors, so be sure that you are waiting for an elevator that will actually get you to the floor you want. Dining/FoodThe food in the dining room was very good, but other than that, there was nothing worth eating. The lunch buffet was horrible. It was the last day before we found the hamburgers and hot dogs served by the pool. If you miss lunch in the dining room (easy to do since they are only open from 12 until 1:30), go for the hamburger. Very disappointing since I had always heard about the great food you get on cruises. Stateroom QualityVery nice! Your beds can be changed between two twins or one king. We were in an ocean view room (U21) and found the room to be very well designed and larger than we expected.. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Ship Staff QualityEveryone was very friendly. I was surprised at how many remembered our names. Entertainment & ActivitiesWe didn't do too many of the shows and heard mixed reviews from fellow passengers. The other activities (bingo, trivia, etc.) seemed to be going on all the time somewhere on the ship. The bars were a good place to find things to do. 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful.
